The birth of the Mink Stoles.
The Mink Stoles (from Dundee) consist of five members, James Russell and Matt Grieve (both play guitar and sing), Chris Grieve (plays guitar), John Parkin (plays the bass) and Kevin Black (the drummer).

The band formed in spring 2001 due to necessity on the part of James. A gig on the horizon one evening, one of his band members from "the David Icke experience" his previous band, was taken insane (genuinely). James, desperate to perform for the first time asked his flat mate Matt to help him out for the gig. After an inpromptu rehersal, they ran down to Drouthy Neebors for the aforemetioned performance. James, unfortunately, was unable to sing properly into the microphone. This issue had been overlooked in rehersals with his previous band; they only sang sometimes. They also used to perform songs randomly as an experiment on the audience (probably due to the fact they were lazy bastards, and one of them was actually insane at the time, unbeknownst to the other bandmembers).- I have no idea if you can get away with that much information in brackets, but; what the fuck? Thus The Mink Stoles were born.

I the webmaster (James) have family members, you probably do too, mine are all in bands, yours are probably in prison.
Muskoka are my cousin Michael's band, they are atmospheric and utilise post rock dynamics to give added depth to their sound, all this allied to powerfull melodies. Have a look at their site on the links page.

Dr Colossus are another cousins band (such a talented family), this time the younger brother (Tony) of the Muskoka member, they have more of a Strokes and Idlewild kind of feel, they are gently loud and melodic in an understated sense.

My Mum has a band with my uncle called Exhibit A they play in pubs and clubs, they cover old and new songs.

My cousin Stephen (he can be witnessed to the right) has a very strange band that, kind of, play with music.

My Dad also has a band, they play cover versions of old and new songs around Scotland and the Highlands.

Good luck to my whole musical family.
